CPD professional courses for day/night classes for real estate agents, offered at C&H, are designed to give salespersons an update on the latest policies, knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the real estate industry.
The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) framework aims to facilitate salespersons in keeping abreast of the latest changes in policies and procedures relating to the property transaction process and ensure that they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skill sets to thrive in the new digital environment. It is also a necessary condition for renewal of licensing/registration. Under the new CPD framework, with effect from October 2019, KEOs and salespersons are required to achieve a minimum of six CPD credits per CPD cycle. The CPD cycle for each year starts in October and ends in September the following year.
The six CPD credits must comprise four CPD credits from courses related to Professional Competencies and two CPD credits from courses related to Generic Competencies. CEA will grant CPD credits for courses under the Professional Competencies and KEOs will grant the CPD credits for courses under the Generic Competencies. The framework includes a more structured approach to guide salespersons in achieving deeper technical knowledge and skill sets to perform duties in different segments of the property market.
*2 credits (Generic) for non C&H Agents are subjected to Estate Agency KEO approval*
Our professional and generic CPD courses are also opened to all salespersons from the real estate industry. Seats are limited; registration is on a first come first serve basis with confirmation of registration only upon receipt of payment.
With effect from 1st July 2022, participants of online CPD courses will be required to turn on their video cameras, showing their faces in real-time throughout the course session. Attendance by participants who are unable to do so will not be recognised by the CPD course providers and will not be accorded with CPD credits.
Photographs or snapshots of the online course sessions with faces of all participants will also be taken for CEA audit inspections.
CPD courses offered by C&H are as follows:
Venue: Training Room at 125A Lorong 2 Toa Payoh, #02-138 Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council Singapore 311125
Salespersons must keep their knowledge up to date and must be fully conversant and comply with the Estate Agents Act, the Estate Agents (Estate Agency Work) Regulations 2010 and the practice circulars and guidelines of CEA and the latest developments taking place in the industry.
The public expects no less that the real estate professionals whom they engage are knowledgeable and will provide timely, accurate, comprehensive and reliable advice. The mandatory CPD course scheme is a major step forward to promote higher standards of professionalism, competency and integrity.
